Donna Weaver

A memorial service will be held for Donna Weaver (66), at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday December 21, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Logansport.

Donna was born on June 13, 1959, in Port Gibson, Mississippi, to Charles J. Lewis and Jean Lewis, and she passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, in Mansfield, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her mother Jean Lewis, her nephew, Brett Nevels, and her nephew, Markus Lewis.

Left to cherish her loving memory is her devoted family: her husband of 48 years, Samuel J. Weaver, her father, Charles J. Lewis; son, Scott Weaver; daughter, Samantha Weaver Houston and husband, Thomas; sister, Shari Nevels-Lotz and husband, Bruce; brother, David Lewis and wife, Wanda; grandchildren; Eric Marr, Elizabeth Houston, Emma Houston, and Mallory Weaver; and a host of cherished nephews and a cherished niece.

Donna was also known as Gigi. She graduated from Northeastern College of Monroe with a Bachelor of Science. She then went to work as a laboratory scientist at Desoto Regional Hospital for many years. She later went on to work at Willis Knighton South where she eventually retired. She loved to play bingo and to cook. She was very active and enjoyed many outdoor activities like fishing and hunting. Her heart was always found where family and friends gathered for fellowship and food. She always loved taking trips and going on adventures.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
