In Loving Memory of Donna Jean Williams December 21, 1943 - October 29, 2025
Donna Jean Williams, 81, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. Born on December 21, 1943, to the late Gene and Irene (Scarberry) Sayre and lived in the Akron area for most of her life. Donna lived a life full of unique experiences and left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jack Williams, with whom she shared many years of marriage and memories. She was also reunited in peace with her brother, Jerry Sayre; and her beloved grandsons, Jack "JJ" Zager and Robbie Zager.
Donna is survived by her children, Scott Williams, Lori Williams, and Lisa Thomas, who will carry forward her legacy in their own ways. She was a grandmother to Nicole Haas, Patrick Morris, and Parker Knippenberg, and a great-grandmother to Braylon Zager, Alexander Haas, Aubrey Morris, and Phoenix Haas. Donna also shared a special bond with her loyal friend, Becky Stetler, whose companionship brought her comfort and joy throughout the years.
Donna's life was a tapestry of challenges and triumphs, and she will be remembered for her resilience and determination. She had a way of leaving an impression, and her family will forever hold onto the memories they shared with her.
The family would like to thank all those who supported Donna throughout her life. In her honor, they encourage acts of kindness and compassion toward others, to celebrate her memory.
A private family service will be held to honor Donna's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society of Summit County, an organization close to Donna's heart.
