COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Donna Burton Wolfe, a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew her, left this world far too soon on January 28, 2026, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Born on January 17, 1965, in Atlanta, Georgia, Donna grew to embody kindness and warmth that drew people to her from all walks of life.
She was cherished as a loving daughter, devoted mother, and a caring companion. Donna is survived by her beloved mother, Barbara Ward Burton; her devoted companion, Eric Kroeber; her son, Connor Wolfe; her daughter, Corey Wolfe (Diego Villamizar); her brother, Kenneth Burton; along with many extended family members who will hold her memory close to their hearts. She was preceded in death by her father, James Edward Burton.
Educated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University, where she majored in International Business and minored in Spanish, Donna exemplified a passion for learning and an appreciation for culture, which she generously shared with those around her.
Beyond her academic achievements, Donna embraced life with an infectious joy. She found solace and happiness in gardening, cultivating the earth, and nurturing beauty around her. As a swim instructor, her love for water was evident; she enjoyed swimming in pools and basking on beaches, where laughter and joy echoed in the waves.
Funeral services for Donna will be held Friday, February 6th at 1:00 p.m. the Cookeville chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Quarles-Burton Cemetery. Pastor Todd Sutton will officiate. Her family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to be made to Quarles-Burton Cemetery Fund, c/o Howard Bilbrey, 3616 Burton Cove Road, Cookeville, TN 38506.
