He dedicated countless hours to building and racing these cars, showcasing his innate talent and love for speed. Donnie's passion for cars was only matched by his love for football. From 1971 to 1974, he played middle linebacker for his high school football team at Bradley Central for all four years, earning himself a reputation as a tough and resilient player. Donnie's determination extended beyond the football field and racetrack; he faced life's challenges with unwavering strength and resilience.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents: Arvil and Jenell Deal; aunt Lilly Deal; and siblings: Billy, Jerry, and Teddy Deal. He cherished his family, including his wife Cynthia Deal, whom he shared 12 beautiful years of marriage with. Donnie's children, Brandon Deal (Alicia), Jessica Deal Herandez, and Adam Deal, meant the world to him, as did his stepchildren: Amanda Dilorenzo of Ellijay, GA, Ashely Yonker of Dalton, GA and John Dilorenzo of Red Bank, TN. He was a devoted and loving grandfather to Lilly, Keath, and Jax Hernandez, whom he adored and raised as his own.
Donnie will be remembered for his infectious laughter, loving nature, and indomitable spirit. He brought joy and warmth to every gathering, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
