Donald (Donnie) Robert O'Bryant was born on September 18, 1957, to David Robert O'Bryant and Charlotte Bell Brown. He was raised by David and his wife, Marvine Roach O'Bryant.
Donnie never met a stranger. He was a friend to all and could talk to anyone. He was always ready to help anyone who needed help. He started his work career on the dairy farm and ended up an environmentalist, operating heavy equipment.
Donnie loved life, his family, and his friends. When he laughed, you knew it. He loved golfing until he had to have shoulder surgery. He was very active in the CHILI CARTEL, traveling as far as Texas and Wisconsin to enter chili cooking contests. Between the five of them, they brought home many trophies. The Chili Cartel consisted of Donnie, Steve Dixon, Steve Neal, Mark Moore and Kenny Jones. The stories they could tell! He was also very active in Glencoe United Methodist Church, helping with maintenance and special projects, such as stew cooking and golf tournaments.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy; his mothers, Charlotte and Marvine; his grandparents, Walter and Mamie O'Bryant and Benjamin and Edna Brown; and his niece, Marlie Steele.
He leaves behind the love of his life, Kathy Shelton O’Bryant, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage; the children who were the center of his life, Jason Robert O'Bryant (Heather) and Tracey O'Bryant Tucker (Brock); and the sparkle in his eyes, his grandchildren, Henry, Charlie, Ethan, Brennan, and Lailyn. He is also survived by his father, David O'Bryant; his brother, Timmy O'Bryant (Angie); his beloved uncle, John Wayne O'Bryant (Betty); and aunt, Doris Strickland (Leonard).
He is also survived by his extended family, including parents-in-law, Charlie and Judy Rice; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray, Debbie, Dwayne, Donna Shelton, and Kaye Steele; nieces and nephews, Tommy, Ashley, Megan, Mark, Candace, Demi, Kasey, and Adam; 22 great-nieces and nephews; and cousins, Pat, Beverly, and Jonathan.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel.
