Donovan Dwight Uses Arrow was born on October 11, 1965 in Fort Yates, ND to Vincent Thunder Shield and Evelyn Uses Arrow. Donovan made his journey to the Spirit World on January 27, 2024 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Donovan is survived his children, Joshua Charging Crow, Patricia Uses Arrow, and Eleanor Uses Arrow all from Wanblee, SD; grandchildren, Adrian Charging Crow, Nicholas Iron Horse, Jaren Iron Horse, Jr., and Major Uses Arrow all from Wanblee, SD; sister, Doris Chasing (Alex Sainz) from Mobridge, SD; brothers, Kenneth Uses Arrow from Winner, SD and Charles Black Fox (Tamara Black Fox) from Mobridge, SD; sisters-in-law, Theresa (Jerome) High Horse, Marilyn (Neil) Red Elk, and Lynette (Terry) Little Whiteman; and brothers-in-law, Leo Bald Eagle, Delbert Charging Crow, Sr., and James Charging Crow.
Donovan was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Eva Charging Crow; daughter, Tammy Uses Arrow; parents, Evelyn Uses Arrow and Vincent Thunder Shield; brothers, Fred Thunder Shield, Willard Malebear, Rolland Thunder Shield, and Duane Thunder Shield, Sr.; and sister, Sandra Uses Arrow; and his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Eleanor Charging Crow.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Charging Crow, Nicholas Iron Horse, Jaren Iron Horse, Jr., Major Uses Arrow, Tyler LeBeau, Sr., Curtis Quiver, Tim Spotted Elk, Kenyon Janis, David Wilcox, Brawny Eisenbraun, and Briar Eisenbraun.
