Dora Jeanette Dubish, 82, (November 21, 1942- October 10, 2025) resided in Madison, Illinois and was born in Alton, Illinois. She passed away peacefully at home with her loving husband at her side.
Jeanette, the name she went by, was a Madison High School graduate. She was a loving mother to five children. In the '80s, she got elected to the board of the Moline Fire Department, where she proudly served her team as their auditor for four years. She worked in the video and deli department at National's and Dierberg's grocery stores and retired in her 60s.
After retirement, she loved to fish, camp, and travel with her husband, Andy. She loved to cook - everything from soup to fried chicken. You could always count on her baking something for the holidays, and she loved to get her hands dirty gardening with her rose bushes. Jeanette was someone with incredible strength, someone you could always count on to help, or just lend an ear.
Her greatest accomplishment was raising her five children and seeing them raise their families. She had lots of love for every one of them.
Proceeding her in death - father, Lester White; mother, Edith White nee Stewart; brother, Darrel White; sister, Alice Garrett; and son, Kevin Fletcher.
Surviving relatives - husband, Andrew Dubish; stepdaughter, Pamela Kay Rehg; sons and spouses, Mitchell & Dawn Fletcher, Todd & Donna Fletcher, and Timothy and Ann Marie Fletcher; grandchildren Shawn Fletcher, Zack Fletcher, Jake Fletcher, Krista Fletcher, Alicia Brown, Brendan Fletcher, Isabel Fletcher and Katie Ambrose; great grandchildren, Caylee Fletcher; and many more. In our hearts and thoughts forever.
Services will be private.
The family is being served by Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, Illinois 62034.
