Publish in a newspaper

Dora Alice (Santellana) Ramirez, 82, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. She was born on September 9, 1943, in Beeville, Texas, to Felipe and Candelaria Santellana.

Dora grew up in Beeville and later moved with her family to Munday, Texas. It was there that her life's path took a meaningful turn. When her brother Wally left to serve in the Marines, his best friend, Eugene Ramirez, began spending time with Dora to fill the absence. Their friendship blossomed into love, and in 1965 they were married. A year later, they welcomed their daughter, Trish, into the world.

Dora and Eugene built a life together, first in Wichita Falls and later in California, where they eventually settled in Santa Maria. Dora worked as a manager at Target, where she was admired for her leadership, strong work ethic, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. In 2004, Dora and Eugene returned to Wichita Falls, where she enjoyed her later years surrounded by family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Candelaria Santellana; her brothers, Paul and Ricky; and her great-grandson, Christiano.

Dora is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Eugene Ramirez; her brother Wally Santellana, and wife Susan of Wichita Falls; sister Gloria Wheeler, and husband Billie of Colorado Springs; her daughter, Trish Dotson, and husband Van of Wichita Falls; her grandsons, Robert Rodriguez and wife Valerie of Prosper, Tx, Corbin Dotson and wife Kristi of Durham, N.C., and Syler Dotson of Fort Worth. She is also survived by her stepson Chance Ramirez, and wife Maci of Iowa Park; along with their children Chaz, Karma, Ayvenn, Ryder & Daniel; as well as 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she loved very much. She will be remembered by her family for her unconditional love, her strength, and the countless ways she held her family together.

Dora's life was defined by love, resilience, and devotion to family. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff members at Beyond Faith Hospice of Wichita Falls. We appreciate all that you did for Dora. She loved you. The family would also like to thank Nelsy Chavez for taking such good care of Dora and Eugene throughout this period. She has truly become a member of the family and we love her.

The family will be accepting friends on Friday October 3rd between 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home, 2812 Midwestern Parkway. A service to honor her life will be held on Saturday October 4th at 10:00 a.m. also at Lunn's followed by a burial at Crestview Memorial Park gravesite,1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, Texas.
