Doreen Anna Bogen

Owatonna - Doreen Anna Bogen, 80, of Owatonna, MN, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at her home in Owatonna. Doreen was born December 10, 1942, in Henning, MN, to John and Tena (Meyer) Stueve. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Henning. After graduating from high school in 1960, she attended Moorhead State College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1963. Doreen married Roger Bogen on June 6, 1964, at St. Paul's Church in Henning. They made their home in Pelican Rapids, MN, Moorhead, MN, and since 1972, in Owatonna. Doreen taught school at all three locations, retiring in 2001.

Doreen is survived by her three sons, their spouses, and their children: Brian (Wendy) Bogen, Jordan, Jayce (Matt) Malchow and great-grandson Jax, and Jenna (Nate) Carty of Owatonna; Gregory (Dawn) Bogen, Luke, Emma, and Jake of Alton, IA; and Patrick (Beth) Bogen, Taylor, Samantha and Kendra of Owatonna. Doreen is also survived by one brother Donald of Fergus Falls, MN, along with a sister-in-law, Sandra Stueve of Henning, MN.

Doreen was preceded in death by her husband Roger in 2022, her parents, John and Tena, and four brothers Walt, Gerhardt, Melvin, and Charles.

Funeral service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Harold Storm officiating. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until the time of service. Inurnment will be at St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.

Memorials are preferred to Allina Hospice Patient Care Fund or Redeemer Lutheran Church.
