Doreen L. Cote

SALISBURY – Doreen L. (Lattime) Cote, 64, widow of Roland A. Cote, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, May 8 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Doreen was born in Newburyport, the daughter of Judith A. (Fowler) and Robert G. Lattime, Sr. She was a graduate of Newburyport High School, Class of 1977. She worked for local school districts as a lunch and recess monitor, and was also a substitute custodian. She loved her four dogs, Nina, Beef, Chloe, and Reese; she bred Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and found homes with wonderful people for all of her puppies. She loved gardening and birdwatching, particularly hummingbirds and cardinals. She liked to believe the cardinals were sent by her late husband. She was known for the love that she spread, the passion she had for helping those around her, and putting everyone above her own wants and needs. She loved children, especially her grandchildren and had an open door policy at home, taking in anyone in need.
Doreen will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her son Josh and his wife Stacey Cote of Seabrook, NH, daughter Jeni Cote and her partner Michael Brousseau of Haverhill, step sons Roland Cote, Jr. of Salisbury and J. Eric Cote of Georgetown, as well as her niece, who she raised like a daughter, Christine, and her husband Nestor Rivas of Essex. She also leaves behind her sisters, Wendy and her husband Brett Chansky of Somersworth, NH, and Lydia Bernice Lattime of Haverhill, and a sister-in-law Gayle Lattime of Salisbury; and her grandchildren Taylor, Olivia, Joshua, Elijah, and Michael. Doreen was predeceased by her husband Roland A. Cote, father Robert G. Lattime, Sr., mother Judith A. Fowler, and brother Robert Gordon Lattime, Jr.
