Doreen Roach Obituary
Born on December 19, 1961 in Plattsburgh, NY she was the daughter of Walter Jr. and Mary Carol (Thompson) Roach.
She graduated from Chateaugay Central School and Canton ATC. She worked for 12 years in Albany before moving to North Carolina and then Florida. After returning to the North Country, she began working at Chateaugay Central School as a food service manager.
Doreen was a member of the Chateaugay Fire Department, joining in November 2013. She also served as an EMT starting in 1985, before joining Chateaugay as an EMT and Firefighter in 2013.
She is survived by her parents, Walter Jr. and Carol Roach; a brother and sister-in-law, David Roach and Cynthia Decosse; an aunt, Phyllis Thompson; a niece, Rebecca and her husband, Jack Monette; a nephew, Nathan Roach and his companion, Allison Aanderud; as well as special cousins, Stephanie Ormsby and Kim Panic-Gross.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Marion and Elmer Thompson and Marie and Walter Roach Sr.; a sister-in-law, Audrey Roach; an aunt and uncle, Joe and Dawn Ribis; and a cousin, Debbie Ribis.
Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. A prayer service will immediately follow at 4 p.m.
Burial will be held in Eastside Cemetery, Chateaugay in the spring.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Chateaugay Fire Department and SPCA.

Doreen I will forever treasure your friendship especially growing up in Chateaugay. I´m so happy I got to see you this past summer and want to thank you for taking my granddaughter under your wing while working at Runnings. Rest easy my friend.
