Doris Rosalie Aery, 70 of Midlothian,VA., passed away on June 15, 2023. She is Survived by Husband of 50 years Robert B. Aery Daughters Karla N. Aery, Angela M. Maiden, Lesley A. Johnson. Son-in laws, Daniel C. Johnson Sr. Matthew T. Maiden. Her Grandchildren Tori M.Madan, Daniel C Johnson Jr., Taylor A. Maiden & Gabriella M. Johnson. Her sister Ruby A. Cannon, as well as many other nieces and nephews who she loved dearly & her devoted dog Reba. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph L. Sutton, Sr and Betty Elizabeth Sutton, brothers, Joseph L. Sutton, Jr, David L. Sutton, Sr, and Donald L. Sutton, sister Ruth Anne Arch, and neice Teresa Sulik(Turner).
Doris was born and raised in
Richmond, VA, but spent many years traveling alongside her husband while he served and retired from the military. She enjoyed traveling and seeing all the different places.
Doris was a devoted wife, mother, and especially grandmother. Being Nana to her four grandchildren was the most important thing to her, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. Whether it was them stopping by just to say hi, or the famous group sleepovers at Nana and Papa's.
There is a Celebration of Life Ceremony planned for Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Central Chesterfield Rurtian Club 2230 Grey Oak Drive
Richmond, Virginia 23236. Meal starts at 4:30, ceremony will begin at 5:30.
