Manitowoc – Doris A. Bierman, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2022. She was born on April 28, 1935, in Pontiac, MI the daughter of Carl and Evelyn Crisman. Doris was united in marriage to Gerald Bierman on October 10, 1953. She liked going for walks. Doris enjoyed many crafts over the years, traveling with her husband, and walking her dog missy that passed away.
Doris was a career long military wife. She happily travelled with her husband her whole life. The military brought her to live in many different states including Arizona, Iowa, Washington, Hawaii, Florida, Alabama, Michigan, New York, Mississippi, California, and Wisconsin. She alone raised four boys in the year of 1966 when her husband was off to war. She loved camping, fishing hunting, gardening, sewing, crafts, and writing poems. She also taught herself to play the organ. She liked going for long walks on the beach and in the woods and walking her dog Missy around the neighborhood. She was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always there when any of us kids needed help or comfort, and would listen when we had something to say. She was kind, loving, caring, warm, inspiring, awesome, wonderful, and happy person and will be greatly missed.
