Doris Kathleen Blalock

Doris Kathleen Blalock, 87, of Saint Augustine, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 4, 2026, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 13, 1938, in Cannonsburg, PA, Doris dedicated her life to faith, family, and service. She married her beloved husband, Clarence Albert Blalock Sr., in 1960, and stood faithfully by his side for over 65 years. After 26 years as a library aide with St. Johns County Schools, she devoted the rest of her life as a pastor's wife. Doris was the quiet strength behind the ministry, hosting Bible studies, children's groups, offering counsel and comfort to church members, preparing countless meals for visitors, and singing hymns with a voice full of joy that inspired many.
Doris was a loving mother to her son, Clarence II (wife, Tracey), and a cherished grandmother ("Mimi") to her granddaughter, Sidney. Her greatest delight was spending time with her family, cooking family meals, sharing stories from Scripture, and instilling in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and unwavering trust in God. A woman of deep faith, she will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her prayerful heart, and the way she made everyone feel seen and loved. Doris is predeceased by her parents (Edgar and Kathleen Simpson) and her sister (Julia). She is survived by her husband, Pastor Clarence Blalock Sr.; son, Clarence (Tracey); granddaughter, Sidney; and cousins (Mary Alice Douglas and Jean Macik), and dear friends from the church community.
A celebration of Doris' life will be held at Craig Funeral Home on January 10, 2026, visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., service to begin at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Brandon Smith officiating, assisted by Hector Marquez. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Grace Community Church, a cause close to Doris's heart. She is now rejoicing in the presence of Jesus, and we take comfort in knowing we will see her again. "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" (Matthew 25:23)
