Doris Carol Allen Boatman age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Doris was born on August 7, 1938 in Sallis, Mississippi to Cecil William Allen and Loraine Turner Allen. Mrs. Boatman was a homemaker and faithful member of Bible Holiness Church in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She loved the Lord and her family and enjoyed also attending Harmony Freewill Baptist Church and Soul Haven Church in Eupora, Mississippi when visiting her family in Webster County. Doris also helped her husband, Glenn F. Boatman with Boatman trucking for many years. Doris is survived by three daughters, Judy (Frank) Crowley, Eupora, Mississippi, Rebecca Sanderson and Lisa (Bruce) Massey both of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two sons, Glenn A. (Ronda) Boatman, Stewart, Mississippi and Ray (Monica) Boatman of Vicksburg, Mississippi; twelve grandchildren, Trae (Jen) Collum, Shane (Shonda) Collum, Glenn Boatman, Jr., Matt (Kim) Sanderson, Amanda S. (Walter) Reeves, Neal (Katelyn) Massey, Ashley (Jordan) Boatman, Justin (Leslie) Boatman, Madi Boatman, Kayla (Josh) Pugh, Megan (Vincent) Povio and Leann (Aaron) Brooks and twenty-six great grandchildren, Jacob Collum, Emily Collum, Mallory Collum, Tristan Collum, Kaleb Collum, Donney Boclear, Asiyah Marshall, Elma Chevelle Boatman, Matthew Aaron Sanderson, Blake Sanderson, Bryce Sanderson, Torstein Pugh, Marlowe Brooks, Lorelei Brooks, Waylon Reeves, Athena Simmons, Clarrissa Mobbs, Kimber Reeves, Bodie Wayne Franklin Reeves, Neely Massey, Gracie Massey, Charleigh Massey, Brody Massey, Gunner Flick, Maddie Flick and Emma Pittman and one great great grandchild, Ivy Rose Collum. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn F. Boatman; both parents, Cecil William Allen and Loraine Turner Allen; her sisters, Cynthia Yvonne Whitman and Evelyn Allen Bishop; brothers, Lamar Allen, Ross Allen, Burton Allen and Floyd Allen and two great grandchildren, Carolyn Brooke Sanderson and Harley Faith Massey. Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Doris Carol Boatman will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. Interment will follow at Reed's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Stewart, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora from 12Noon until time for services at 2:00PM. Rev. James Caffey and Rev. Steve Rowland will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Glenn Boatman, Jr., Justin Boatman, Neal Massey, Tristan Collum, Bryce Sanderson and Blake Sanderson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Boatman, Jr. and Kevin Boatman. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is entrusted with all arrangements.
