DORIS BOOTHE Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 23, 2025.
Doris Jean Coker Boothe went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2025, at the age of 87.

A lifelong resident of Greenville, Florida, Doris lived a life rooted in faith, service, and family. She was of the Baptist faith and a devoted member of New Macedonia Baptist Church, where she faithfully served her church community for many years.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Jean Boothe Brandies; her grandchildren, Michelle (Sam) Wetherington, Ben (Kim) Brandies, Becky Brandies, and Corey Brandies; and her great-grandchildren, Halie Wetherington, Kace Brandies, and Kennedy Brandies. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Ray Boothe Sr.; her son, Ray Boothe; and her granddaughter, Beth Brandies.

In addition to caring deeply for her family, Doris enjoyed camping, fishing, waterskiing, and listening to Southern gospel music, particularly the Gaithers. She was a volunteer EMT who selflessly served her community and was honored as Citizen of the Year in Greenville in 1998, a reflection of her generous spirit and commitment to helping others.

Doris leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion to family, unwavering faith, and service to her community that will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on December 26 at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
