Theresa Parker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heartland Cremation & Burial Society - Greater Kansas City, Missouri - Rayt on Feb. 2, 2026.
Theresa Jean Parker, 83 years young, of Kansas City, MO passed away on January 23rd, 2026. A service will be held to honor her life and legacy on: February 14th, 2026 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.

Theresa was born on June 10th, 1942, in Independence, MO to Thomas and Jean Scanlan. She founded Raytown Hearing Aid Services in the early 90's where she touched the lives of all her patients, serving as owner/operator until retiring in 2022. Theresa earned the reputation of influential leader within the hearing industry as the first female ever to hold a seat on the Missouri State Board of Examiners, where she proudly served throughout her career.

She cherished quality time with her 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the company of her brother and his wife, as well as her time with her best friend Eloise. Theresa expressed her creativity around her home and garden, and enjoyed the fruits of that labor watching the birds.

Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Parker, and is now reunited with the love of her life. She is survived by her children: Wade (Daniella) & Mary (Chris); Grandchildren: Ashley (Tom), Kelley, Ronnie (Kristen), & Dylan; Great-grandchildren: Noelle, Carter, Rori, McQueen, Everly, Bronson, & Brinkley; Brothers: Gerald (Maria) & Pat (Carol).

We're very sorry for your loss. We never met Terry, but we feel like we knew her through our mom (her friend Eloise). Mom cherished her friendship with Terry, and we are grateful for the fun times they had together. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
