Doris “Dottie” Rose Cobb, 95 widow of Luther Huston Cobb since 2014, left her earthly home on Nov. 8 while an inpatient at St Joseph Hospital. She was born on August 1,1930, in Jessamine County, one of the five children of the late William “Bill” and Christine Brooks Teater. She was a bookkeeper for many years, as well as a loving Mother who enjoyed cooking and growing flowers both inside and outside her home. She enjoyed watching the leaves turn color in the fall and also enjoyed her friends. She is survived by her son Ricky and her granddaughter Autumn McKenzie and the delight of her life--great grandchildren Peyton, Emmerson, and Gavin McKenzie. She will be fondly remembered by nieces Julie Nipp, Caroline Buie, and Kelly Thompson and a devoted cousin Mona Waling. She will be greeted in heaven by her daughter Terri Cobb-Sallee, brothers Robbie Teater, Kirby Teater, and William Floyd Teater and sister Pat Benton. A Memorial Service will be held on Nov. 20, at 7:00 PM in the Nicholasville Methodist Church where she was a member. The family will greet friends beginning at 4:00 PM until time of service. “Where ever a beautiful soul has been there is a trail of beautiful memories.” Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and wishes to expresses their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Dottie.
