Brandy ( Le Bleu) Butler

Aunt Doris´s passing can to me as such a shock and like the proverbial punch to the gut.
I am Brandy, my dad is Mitchell, Aunt Doris´ brother.
Aunt Doris was always on the go.. or cooking dirty rice for too too and tee tee.
Or just cooking, or at Grandma Iris house.
She was always in her garden with her veggies. She was definitely a no nonsense lady. Loved playing bingo. My favorite memories of her are when I lived next door to her on Tulip St. I was one of the cousins that was always at her house. .. always into something with my cousin/bff
Karin. There are so many more things I can say, but I will say, Heaven is that much more sweeter with her there.

I'm so very sorry to read of Ms. Duff's passing. For many years I saw her monthly in my office to pay her car insurance. We never had a time when we didn't chat, talk, converse as we covered many things of personal import to her and for as much time as we had to share with each other. She was a very industrious lady with a terrific work ethic and "can do" attitude. She had a lot of wisdom borne of life experience and close observation of people, places, and conditions. Her energy was boundless, always so amazing to me even until just 3 months ago, as she still had the usual spring in her step, brimming with energy and focus. She was a dynamo of energy and movement, always full of information, and on task with whatever she had going that day. I'll miss her visits to my office with her easy way of connecting, her personal stories--always interesting and well-told--her great sense of the world around her and how to handle any situation, and a moral compass that always pointed true north regarding the way things ought to be. She truly was "amazing". My deepest and sincere condolences are extended to her family in this unexpected loss following her very brief illness. And I feel the sting of having lost someone I considered a friend whose brief (and sometimes longer) company and conversation I shared each month, and which I truly valued and looked forward to when I saw her walking past my window as she made her way to my door. I'll always remember her, and very fondly so!
