Doris Good

Doris Good 81, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Bedford, died Sunday, March 27, 2022. She was born on September 17, 1940, in Harrisburg a daughter of the late Harvey Frederick and Mildred (Swartz) Kreiser. On October 18, 1958 in Hummelstown, she married Wilmer R. Good who preceded her in death on January 11, 2015. She is survived by a daughter Suzie E. Layton and husband Tim, of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren: Kerri, Alex, Devon, Derek, and Olivia; a great-grandchild, Haddon; and a sister Sandra K. Engler, of Reading. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven C. Good and his wife Gaby.
Doris loved going out to eat and visiting with staff at her favorite restaurants. She also enjoyed calling friends on the phone, watching TV, spending time with her family, and loved her grandchildren dearly. Doris worked at Hershey Chocolate Factory, The Bedford Hospital, and Super 8 Motel. She was known for her generosity and her strong Christian faith, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Doris was blessed over the years to have her wonderful caregivers, Shawnee, Suellen, Linda, and Donna, while she resided in Bedford and Myrtle Beach.
