Kiser Funeral HomeDoris King Gore, 73, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Born, April 19, 1952, in Chesterfield, SC, she was a daughter to the late Calarie Calvin and Viola Boan King.
Doris dedicated many years of her career to Chesterfield Manufacturing and later retired from Piggly Wiggly. Known for her kind heart, she was also capable of providing tough love when necessary. Doris had a passion for thrifting and taking joy in watching humorous animal videos. She especially cherished the holiday season, using her culinary skills to prepare festive meals for Christmas. Above all, Doris was devoted to her family, serving as the cornerstone that held them together, with a special love for her children and grandchildren.
Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie David Gore; her son, Richard David Gore; a brother, Calvin King; a sister, Nancy Haney, and brother-in-law, Cecil Haney.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Cynthia Rivers (Tommy) of Ruby, SC; sisters, Lucy Kelly (Levon) of Hartsville, SC, and Louon Causey of Nichols, SC; and grandchildren, Landon Rivers and William Gore.
The family will receive friends anytime on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the home of Cynthia Rivers, 922 Glory Road, Ruby, SC 29741.
Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Gore family in their time of grief.
