Doris M. Grabenstetter, age 92, formerly of Meadville, including a resident of Juniper Village for 5 years, passed away Sunday morning May 4, 2025, at the Crawford Care Center.
She was born February 22, 1933, in Meadville, a daughter of Edward J. and Dora Emma Smith Miller. She had previously been married to Robert Crowe and Wilbur Webster and subsequently married Harry J. Grabenstetter November 12, 1993. He preceded her in death December 29, 2012.
Doris was a 1951 graduate of Meadville High School. She worked at Talon as a payroll clerk, Glenn Peterson Floors and Furniture, and owner and operator of Golden Sun Apartments in Madeira Beach, FL for 23 years.
Doris was a member of First Christian Church. She was formerly active with R.S.V.P. and enjoyed quilting and baking. Everyone enjoyed her pies and strawberry jam. She especially enjoyed time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Edward Crowe (Debbie) of Meadville; four grandchildren, Ryan MacLeod (Evelyn), Becki Hayes, Joseph Crowe and his fiancé Alyson Raymond, and Michelle Rodriguez; four great-grandchildren, R.J and Ave MacLeod, Greyson and Jackson Rodriguez; a sister, Lois Haddenham of Niles, OH; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and a daughter, Darleen Clark.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday 5-10-25 at 1:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE with Rev. Robert McGuire, Pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Family and friends will be received on Saturday 5-10-25 from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
Burial will be in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
