AYER - Doris G. (Lamy) Joy, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley in Littleton after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Joy. She was born in Westford on February 11, 1930, the daughter of the late Noe and Jeanne (Aubry) Lamy. Doris was a resident of Ayer for many years where she was a parishioner of St. Mary Parish. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an assembler at Data Terminal Systems in Maynard for many years. She enjoyed dancing and trips to Foxwoods Casino. Doris is survived by her five children, Robert Joy and his wife, Rita of NH, Kenneth Joy and his wife, Bonnie of Shirley, Donna Rollins and her husband, Bruce of Maui, HI, Daniel Joy and his wife, Jane of Ayer and Linda Conner of Ayer. Also 8 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Michael Joy and sister of the late Rolande Bolduc. Services for Doris will be held privately.

So very Sad to hear that Doris ( Meme) passed. She was such a great positive friend to my Mom, Lorraine,and made me laugh every time I saw her. Her sense of fashion with accessories made her so much Fun ! and she always lifted others spirits with her compliments -I wish I saw her more after she had moved.
She and her kindness will be sadly missed .,My most Sincere Sympathy to her entire Family ❤

Doris Joy, my neighbor growing up across the street from her, was always the nicest lady one could know. Always upbeat and such a good friend to my Mom, Lorraine. I'm so very sad to hear of her passing and hope she went peacefully. My deepest condolences to her grownup 'kids' Bob, Ken, Donna, Danny and Linda.
