Again Sharalyn Sweitzer Saks here. a further followup about my previous posting. Turns out I and my three younger brothers all had Mrs. LaBonte as an English Teacher. Her comment to my youngest brother I have taught all of you kids. Not quite sure if this was a compliment or just history, I think a milestone.

So, I was trying to get further info on my bestest teacher at Jackson High School. She enthralled me with American literature and taught me the concept of a book report vs a book review. (She gave me a B- on my first paper. Very hard for a straight A student.)
However, she was a teacher who helped me think critically. I am forever thankful for this. I use her lessons to this day.
I went on to the U of M, getting a BBA and MBA. Now I am retired in St. Louis.
So, I feel like this is sort of like AA. I need to thank all of the people that were milestones in my life. Your mother was one of them.
