Doris Maxine Lewis, age 96, passed away December 05, 2025, at Ascension St. John Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville. Maxine was born on February 14, 1929, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to the late Arthur and Jessie Shaw.

She attended Ponca City schools and graduated in 1947, majoring in business. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University for 1 year.

Maxine married Ray Lewis on March 27, 1949. They were parents of two children, Alan Dean and Brenda Sue. Maxine was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company from 1949 to 1959 as a secretary.

She served as Girl Scout neighborhood chairman for 5 years.

Also, served as Boy Scout Den mother. She was church secretary for a number of years.

Maxine is survived by daughter Brenda, brother-in law Harold Lewis and wife Linda, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Ray, son Alan, brother Clarence and wife Lois Shaw and parents, Arthur and Jessie Shaw.
