Doris M. Marino (née Pope), age 67, a longtime resident of Tinley Park, passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

Beloved wife of Gerard Marino. Loving mother of Ricky, Ashley, and Brian (Melissa) Marino. Proud and devoted Mema of Ethan, Lilyanna, and Alexander Marino. Cherished daughter of the late Lela and Donald Pope. Dear sister of Darlene, Gloria, Gale, Robert, and the late Gary.

Doris was a woman with a heart full of love and laughter. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren, and she never missed an opportunity to support them. She had a deep love for animals-especially her dogs, who often seemed to outrank the kids in the pecking order, much to everyone's amusement.

A passionate reader and puzzle enthusiast, Doris also had a fondness for giraffes that brought her great joy. She spent many years working with children with disabilities, sharing her kindness and patience generously. Her happiest moments were spent outdoors-whether camping with family, sitting by a crackling fire, or simply dreaming of a beachside retreat.

Doris lived simply but gave fully. She always wished more for the people she loved and will be remembered for the quiet strength, warmth, and care she gave so freely.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 Harlem Avenue Tinley Park, IL. 60477.
