Charlotte, MI formerly of Holt

Passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the age of 89. Born April 4, 1936 to James and Peggy (Hundley) Groce in Weakley County, Tennessee. Doris worked as a nursing assistant for Sparrow Hospital for 20 years retiring in 1991. Doris enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and spending time outside. She liked to crochet and knit and made many beautiful afghan's for family and friends. Doris enjoyed playing cards with her neighbors and Bingo at the Windmill Community Center in Holt. She always tried to watch her beloved Detroit Red Wings. Most of all she loved being with her family and especially loved her grandkids. Preceding her in death were her husbands, Donald Dwight Kissack, and James O'Brien; son-in-law, Edward Klunejko as well as her parents.

Surviving are her children, Charles (Dawn) Kissack, Paula Klunejko, Debra (Tom) Dickson; grandchildren, Rob (Capri) Dickson, Toby Dickson and Kara, Tommy (Rebecca) Dickson, Brian Dickson and Elizabeth, Lynda (Jesse) Cruz, Don Kill Jr. and Carolann, Jason Ten Have, Shawn Whalen, Mary (Quincy) Bates, Jenny (Gary) Parker; great grandchildren, Ben (Carissa), Avia, Gary "Tripp" II, Quincy II, Hadley, Shawn Jr., Sarah, Jordan, Lance, Jerrod, Conner, Leann, Nick, Kaleb, Brianna, Jackson, John, Emily, Jacob; great-great grandchildren, Asher, Noah, Micah, Avigayil, Nicky, Ali-Boy, Brice, James Micheal; brothers, Tom (Elaine) Groce, Ron (Jamie) Groce, Don (Kelly) Groce; sister, Sherry Elliot; former sister-in-law, Kaylynn Groce Vian as well as many nieces and nephews.
