Ticonderoga. Doris Marie Olcott, 81, of Ticonderoga peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 with her loving family by her side.
Born in Whitehall, NY, February 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lillian (Gordon) Webster.
Doris was a resident of Ticonderoga for most of her life. She married Ronald J. Olcott on August 22, 1959.
Through the years, she was employed as a waitress for several local restaurants in Ticonderoga including the Burger Pit.
Doris enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, going to casinos and she especially loved bingo.
Her greatest enjoyment was her family. She was a beloved, wife, mother and nana, and g. nana.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Ronald J. Olcott; two sons, Timothy Olcott (Leigh), and Terry Olcott (Margaret); two daughters, Susan Woods (Randie) and Sharon Olcott -Dorsett (Walter Cheney); eight grandchildren, Ashley Olcott, Cody Olcott, Melynda Swinton, Kristine Larmore, Daniel Woods, Taylor Dorsett, Kallie Dorsett and Maicey Dorsett; and ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Anne Ritchie and one brother, Robert Webster; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved dog, grandma's girl – G.G.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and nine siblings.
A Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at the family plot of St. Mary's Parish Cemetery of Ticonderoga. The Rev. Christopher J. Looby, Pastor, will officiate.
A Celebration of her Life will follow.
