NISKAYUNA – Doris Olbrich Pepicelli, 81, entered peacefully into the Arms of the Lord on Saturday, September 20, 2025, after a brief illness. Doris was born in Germany, a daughter of the late William and Olga Baumgarten Olbrich. She immigrated to the United States as a young girl and built a life rooted in love, hard work, and faith. She graduated from Linton High School and Mildred Elley Business School. Doris worked as a secretary for the NYS Teachers Association and the Schenectady City School District, where she was known for her dedication and kindness. She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Fatima Church and later St. Kateri Tekakwitha, where her faith was an important part of her daily life. Doris was a devoted wife and a nurturing mother who cared deeply for her family, always placing their needs before her own. She found joy in simple moments spent together She was predeceased by her parents; her beloved son, Glen Pepicelli; a brother, Reiner Olbrich; and her brother-in-law, Robert Pepicelli. Doris is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lewis A. Pepicelli; her devoted son, Darren and her devoted daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and her daughter, Victoria; a brother, Paul Olbrich and his wife, Eleanor; a sister-in-law, Gail DeCesare and her husband, Robert; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will cherish her memory. A private entombment will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

I remember Doris from Schenectady City Schools. She was always a helpful and pleasant person. I am sorry to hear of her passing. My sincere condolences to her family.
