Doris Peterson

Our loving mother and Grandmother, Doris Daniel Peterson, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 8, 2026. She was born to James R and Lunnnie Daniel on January 6, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Donald Peterson, her mother and father, as well as four brothers, James Daniel, Clifton Daniel, David Daniel, Henry Daniel and five sisters, Edna Metz, Ellotte Shanahan, Nina Mooney, Sally Kilcrease, and Shirley Green. She worked for the Florida Highway Patrol as a dispatcher and Division of Motor Vehicles as a tester until retirement.

Surviving sisters are Lois Jordan, Myrtle Waters, and her twin sister Dorothy Lamberth. She had 2 children, Sheree (Gary) Folmar and Neil (Cynthia)Peterson. She has five grandchildren, Steve (Kathy) Folmar, Angela (Jason) Stark, Jennifer (David) Musholt, Joshua (Melina), and Miranda (Gabe) Miller. She had 7 great grandchildren, Ashlyn (Devin) Fuimauno, Shelby Folmar, Raven (Cody) Grantham, Kaitlyn Folmar, Clayton (Amanda) Stark, JD Stark, Quintin Miller and 3 great-great grandchildren, Ella, Hali and Laken. She loved her family with all her heart.

Pallbearers will be Steve Folmar, Joshua Peterson, Clayton Stark, JD Stark, Jason Stark and David Musholt.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, March 13, 2026 at the Lynn Haven 1st Baptist Church with visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Brother Daniel McNeil will officiate the service. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Panama City, Florida. Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Panama City, Florida is entrusted with the service.
