Doris Pickens Obituary
Doris Roberts Pickens, 93, widow of Marshall Pickens, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025.
Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Sallie Hill Roberts. She and her late husband were longtime residents of Greenville where she taught school at First Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of Augusta Road Baptist Church and more recently a member of Six & Twenty Baptist Church in Pendleton.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth M. Pickens and wife, Frances Montgomery Pickens; and three grandchildren, William Marshall Pickens, Andrew Lucas Pickens, and Martha Ashby Pickens.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Everett, Gene, and Bill Roberts.
A private graveside service will be held at Six & Twenty Baptist Church Cemetery.
