Doris Marie Pollard, age 86, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. She was born on May 2, 1939, in Thayer, Kansas, to Clyde Curtis Hines and Hazel Leonard Hines. At just 16 years old, Doris married Rex Leon Adams in Glendale, Arizona. They shared 40 wonderful years together and raised three children before Rex’s passing on June 22, 1995. In March 1999, Doris met the love of her life, John Pollard. After eight years together, the couple married on September 7, 2007, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, in a beautiful horse-drawn carriage ceremony. When Doris married John, she lovingly gained two sons and two daughters, expanding the family she cherished so deeply. Family meant everything to Doris. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and her joy for the season filled her home with warmth and laughter. She loved the outdoors, especially camping trips in the camper with John, and they were well-known for their lively karaoke nights and dancing until dawn. She especially treasured their trips to Branson and the family Thanksgiving bingo games, where her competitive spirit—and habit of cleaning while playing—often required limiting her number of wins! In her younger years, Doris was a dedicated stay-at-home mother before later working as a waitress at The Salty Pelican, The Landing Café, and Lakeside. A self-taught pianist, she often played for her grandchildren, who would dance and twirl around the room as she filled the home with music. Doris also loved yard sales, gardening—especially her miniature tea roses, and painting, creating beautiful works of art that reflected her creative soul.

Doris is survived by her devoted husband John Pollard of Eufaula; sons Randy Adams & wife Rhonda of Eufaula, Jeff Pollard of Cushing, and Chris Pollard & wife Amanda of Checotah; daughters Dora Arce and Tammy Y’vonne Flowers; 14 beloved grandchildren: Kevin Durham & wife Amy of OKC, Kelly Pitchford & husband Christopher of Chickasha, Dakota Adams & wife Casey of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, Sierra Stratman & husband Kamarean of Bedford, Virginia, Jami Wolfe & husband AJ of El Paso, Texas, Elijah Adams & wife Hannah of Eufaula, Lennon Pollard of Cushing, Lars Pollard of Cushing, Ronnie Adams of Eufaula, Ami Adams of Bedford, Virginia, Ollie Simonetti, Lilly Pollard of Checotah, Allyson Arce, and Mikayla Arce; as well as five great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her sister Pat Baltau of Eufaula, brother Lester Hines of Eufaula, special niece Vicky Perez of Fresno, California, and best friend Vicky Sellers.

Doris was preceded in death by her first husband Rex Adams; her parents Clyde Curtis Hines, Hazel Leonard Hines, and stepmother Emma Hines; daughters Diane Durham and Linda Adams; and brothers Alva Elvin “Alvi” Hines, Clyde Arthur “Art” Hines, and Dwight Dean “Dean” Hines. Doris will be remembered for her loving heart, her laughter, her music, and the joy she brought to every family gathering. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the memories shared by those who loved her most.
