i have known doris for a long time. Bill and i attended school together. my first memory would be going to summer bible school at the old porter methodist church where doris and other moms (mine included) taught us bible lessons and crafts and before leaving we would have kool-aid and cookies. the years passed and i attended the porter church and really got to know doris. she was eager to serve in any way she could for the church. doris and many of the other women were inspirations for me. i can't say enough good things about doris. i do remember that she really like pumpkin pie and whenever we had a church dinner - no matter the time of the year - i could count on her bringing a pumpkin pie (a favorite of mine too). i am very blessed to have known doris snedgar.
