Doris Sprull Obituary
Born on January 2, 1939, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Doris was a woman of strength, style, and heart. A retired seamstress from the London Fog Factory, she was known for her remarkable talent with a needle and thread-creating not just garments, but care, pride, and beauty in everything she touched.
Doris lived life with energy and purpose. She loved sewing, enjoyed a good game of bingo, and found her greatest happiness in lovingly caring for her grandchildren. Family was the center of her world, and she poured her time, wisdom, and joy into every generation. Her laughter, warmth, and steady presence made everyone feel at home.
She leaves behind a legacy that spans generations. Doris is survived by her two children, Dana Steward (Darrell Steward) and Anthony Wright (Marlene Wright); seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her dear sister, Vivian Stephenson.
She was lovingly reunited in rest with her parents, Bessie Davis and Haliey Davis Sr.; her sisters Rosa Little, Mary Lee Davis, and Bessie Bemberry; and her brothers Willie Carey and Haliey Davis Jr.
Doris May Sprull will be remembered as a hardworking woman, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a joyful soul whose love stitched generations together. Her vibrant spirit will continue to live on in every life she touched.
