We are all saddened by our Aunt Doris´s passing and relieved she is no longer in pain. Our hearts are heavier for the family and all those she touched as we know what the loss of a matriarch feels like. Doris lived a full life, and as we became a small part of it through the Studer lineage, we were able to watch a woman take on a husband, family (and relatives!) and we saw her in many roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, daughter-in-law among many more. She chose to be and became a model of devotion to her faith, family and friends, and would count on those three bedrocks to guide her through her life wherever she was, whatever challenges and blessing manifested themselves before her, and at the end, never giving up on her faith in her God, in her family and in her love for the sanctity of life.
We all have had moments to bask in her presence, to engage in her capacity to love, to give and to share, and those became treasures in our hearts as we believe they did in hers. Time will allow us to regale the family of those moments we hold dear and it is those moments and memories that keep her alive in all of us. If we were asked in very few words to describe her, she was perfectly imperfect. To some, if not many, Doris had a great business sense - and behind that outer shell was the warm, caring, devoted woman that we will all miss. But we will see her in those moments down the road when even the simplest things will tie to a memory of her. Whether its delivering gravy to a KofC function, offering up a baseball mitt or the gentleness she treated her mother and mother-in-law, her humanity was in abundance each and every day, and she always thanked her Lord for the gift of her life and of those she loved. We, in turn, were the fortunate ones having known her for as long as we have.
We join with many at this solemn time to grieve her passing and to console those saddened at the loss. To honor her is to honor her belief that she is where she longed to be with her Lord and Savior and where she will over time be reunited with those she shared her life with.
With all our love,
The Paul Studer Family
