Doris Mae Swanson

Doris M. Swanson of Appleton passed away peacefully on October 8, 2016. She was born on December 13, 1929 to the late Ray and Malinda (Daelke) Feuerstein. She married Carl A. Swanson on September 4, 1954 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton; he preceded her in death on March 3, 2015. She enjoyed baking, reading, sewing, watching Wisconsin sports and spending time up at the cottage on Loon Lake. She is survived by her children; Bruce (Donna) Swanson, Barb (Chuck) Rohloff, grandchildren; Curt (Stacy) Swanson, Christopher Swanson and Emily Swanson; great grandchildren; Olivia Swanson, Ian Swanson and Noah Swanson; Doris is also survived by her sister-in-law Marian Hamm. She is preceded in death by her husband Carl, parents Ray and Malinda Feuerstein, sister Lois Theiss, brother Russell Feuerstein, sister-in-law's Marie Feuerstein, Audrey Swanson, brother-in-law's Richard Swanson, Walter Hamm and mother and father- in-law Carl and Margaret Swanson. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Wichmann Funeral Home at 537 N. Superior St. Appleton, WI 54911 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church at 312 South State St. Appleton, WI 54911 at 11:00 a.m. with a one hour prior visitation with Fr.
