Doris was born June 20, 1937 in North Carolina to the late Dewitt Medlin and the late Pearl Medlin.

Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Doris met her husband Everette in 1953. They were married on December 23, 1955 and they have been married ever since for 67 years and 8 months. She was very active in her church and loved the Lord with all her heart. Some of Doris favorite pastimes included cooking, tending to flowers, and helping anyone in need that she came across, often prioritizing the needs of others over her own. Doris was known for her wonderful sence of humor, oftentimes dry which could make anyone laugh, and she was also especially known for the cakes she made which she would enjoy with RCs and Pepsis. She was also fond of listening to Gospel singers, Bill Gaither and Bradley Walker. But above all else, she cherished the time she spent with her loving family and her church family. Doris spent her life serving the Lord and now rests in the arms of her Savior.
