Doris Garrett Tooley

DORIS TOOLEY Doris Garrett Tooley, 79, resident of 204 Pinsonville Road, widow of A. Herman Tooley, Sr. died May 30, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Piedmont, SC, May 27, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Harrison A. and Nellie Huff Garrett. Mrs. Tooley was a member of Siloam Baptist Church, the Mable Turner Sunday School Class and the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are five children, Sue Gibson and husband Jimmy of Rutherfordton, NC, A. Herman Tooley, Jr. and wife Shannon of Chapin, Vickie Turner and husband James and Frankie Tooley and wife Ann, all of Greenwood and Rhonda Harris of Rochester, NY; one sister, Lucille Madison of Belton; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and her roommate, Joyce Bannister. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Webb officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The body is at Blyth Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM Wednesday. The family is at the home and will receive friends at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 Wednesday afternoon. Memorials may be made to Siloam Baptist Church, PO Box 373, Ninety Six, SC 29666.
