Doris Marie Erwin Wallace, 93, of Blackwell, OK passed away on June 10, 2024. Doris was born November 13, 1930, to Claude William Erwin and Cora Alice Doyle Erwin in Towanda, Kansas.
Doris and Kenneth Wallace were united in marriage on July 25, 1951. Kenneth was in the Air Force stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, and Doris flew to Anchorage where they established their first home. Their son Robert Lee (Bob) Wallace was born on October 13, 1952, in Anchorage. They moved to California and lived there until December 1954, and then moved to Kaw City, OK. Their daughter Lind Jane Wallace was born in Oklahoma City, OK on December 13, 1954, on their way back to Kaw City, OK. They lived in many places in the following years and finally settled in Blackwell, OK for their retirement years. They were blessed with seven grandchildren, Trudi Ann Wallace, Lisa Marie Wallace, Amy Lee Wallace, Shannon Billie Jordan, Brandi Lin Jordan, Jami Renee Jordan, and Justin Kenneth Jordan.
They had an Airstream travel trailer and traveled all over the US and enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, dominos and watching Gunsmoke on TV.
Doris is survived by her son, Bob Wallace (Elizabeth) and daughter Linda Jordan (Bill), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bother, Duain Erwin, sister, Margaret Townley, niece Karen Spears (David), sister-in-law, Winnie Myers (Larry).
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, her parents Claude and Cora and great grandbaby.
Graveside Services to be held June 28, at 2:00 pm at Union-Graham Cemetery, Winfield, KS.
