Doris Mae Westby, 91, of Rushford, MN, died on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Rushford.
Doris was born on November 26, 1933 in Mabel, Minnesota to Theodore and Olga (Flatten) Johnson. On May 14, 1955, she married Shelby Westby at Mabel United Methodist Church. They welcomed 6 beautiful children into this world; Doris was able to spend her time being a homemaker while their children lived at home. Later in life, she was very proud to have worked as an Administrative Assistant at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She loved caring for her rose garden, painting with oils and watercolors and sitting on the front porch keeping an eye on the daily farm activities.
Doris is survived by 5 children; Dean (Kim) Westby of Rushford, Cindy (John) Hoaglund of Rio Verde, AZ, Lisa Von Arx of La Crescent, Ingrid (Will) Pape of Dakota, and Tina Olloff of Rushford, her beloved niece, Holly (Steve) Torbenson, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, her husband Shelby, her son Steven, her grandsons Dylan Westby and Joseph Pape, her daughter-in-law DeeAnn and son-in-law Kurt Olloff.
The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to her special # 1, Ron, at Good Shepherd.
A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Friday, August 29 at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church with visitation an hour prior to service.
