Doris Marie Wilson

DORIS MARIE WILSON 1920 - 2016 Doris Marie (Cordes) Wilson age 95 of Lincoln, NE, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at her home. She was born April 20, 1920 to Frederick "Fred" Henry and Emma Martha (Ruemelin) Cordes on their farm in Murdock, NE. She was raised and schooled in Murdock. Doris graduated from Murdock High School with class of 1938. Doris met Arthur "Hank" Leroy Wilson of Talpa, TX while working in a Safeway grocery store in Benson (Omaha, NE). They were later married May 23, 1948 in Murdock. Doris and Hank lived in Omaha for 27 years prior to moving to Denver, CO. After her Navy Veteran and husband Arthur (Hank) died in Denver in 1977, she moved to Lincoln, NE. She worked as "mom" and a grocery clerk in Omaha, Lincoln, and Denver for many years. Doris was known for her home cooking, sewing, and ready smile for friends and family. She adored her family and was always thinking of ways to provide gifts of love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her never-ending kindness and thoughtfulness will be forever missed. Doris is survived by her daughter: Faye (Wilson) Wall and husband Ray of Lincoln, NE; son: Randy L. Wilson and wife Candy (Sonday) of Lincoln, NE; three grandchildren: Nathan Wall and wife Karla (Rezac) of David City, NE; Natalie (Wall) Wemhoff and husband Jeremy of Pingree Grove, IL; Chellsey (Wilson) Brown and husband Danny of Lincoln, NE; six great grandchildren: Paxton and Laney Wall, Wilson and Quentin Wemhoff, Joel and Emily Brown; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Doris is preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Emma Cordes of Plattsmouth, NE, her sister: Lavina (Cordes) Ramge, two brothers: Orville and John Cordes, and infant great grandson: Isaiah Wall. Visitations will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M., Friday, January 29, 2016, at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 P.M., Friday, January 29, 2016, at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth with Pastor Bob Neben officiating and Jeremy Wemhoff as vocalist. The pallbearers will be Danny Brown, Joel Brown, Bruce Ramge, Charlie Mundorf, Nathan Wall, and Jeremy Wemhoff. Final Resting Place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, NE. Memorials to the Family (A suitable charity will be chosen at a later date).
