Dorothea L. (Fowler) Riley, 93, of Carver, formerly of Brockton, passed away on Thursday December 4, 2025.

Dorothea was born December 31, 1931 in Boston. She is the daughter of the late John and Sadie (Hogan) Fowler.

Dorothea and her husband Edward Riley raised their family in Brockton and had many happy years there. Dorothea enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for family and friends, hosting holiday gatherings, and having cook-outs in the backyard around the pool. She enjoyed dancing, and in her younger year’s roller skating.

Dorothea is survived by her loving husband Edward W. Riley. She is also survived by her three children; Paul Weese and his wife Janine of Thornton NH, Donald Weese and his wife Barbara of Tilton, NH, and Jeannine Sturge and her husband Mark of Halifax. She was the beloved grandmother to Donald, Jennifer, Nichole, Zachary, Ethan, Brian and Alexandria, Alex, Stephanie, and Aimee. Dorothea is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and the four-legged members of the family.

She is predeceased by her late husband Hayward Wayne Weese. As well as, her grandchild Eric Riley Neumeier.

Family and friends are invited to attend Dorothea’s visiting hours on Wednesday, December 10th from 9:30-10:30 AM with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 AM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Private burial at a later date.
