Dorothy Ann Bryant, 85, of Arnold, Missouri, passed away peacefully at 12:39 am October 17, 2025 at her home. She was born April 6, 1940 in Saint Louis, Missouri to the late James Roy and Bertha Ann (Prince) Johnson. Dorothy married Joseph Bryant and he preceded her in death.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Karen and John Gidden; son, Joseph "Joey" Moss; grandchildren, John and Rebecca Gidden, Jason Gidden, Edna Moss, Starlette and Alex Aslanis, and Madeline Shank; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Doris Carol Boyer and Janet Inez Masters.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings, Norma Jean Maak, Mary Lou Krazer, Helen Klinder, Gerald Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Larry Johnson.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
