Dorothy "Dottie" Darlene Coffer was born October 16, 1949 in Dallas, Texas and passed from this life on August 8, 2025 in Waxahachie, Texas. Dottie was a hard worker. She was a CNC machinist for over 30 years and could fix anything mechanical that was put in front of her. She also had many loves! Listening to her old school country and Motown records on her antique stereo was among her greatest joys. Dottie was also an avid fisherman and was happiest on family fishing trips. More than all of these, her greatest love was her family. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family meant the absolute world to her! She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Burnett; her mother, Thelma Lewis; her husband, James Coffer; her brothers, Billy "Chuck" and Billy Joe; her sisters, Mary Lawther, Betty Norfleet, Arlene Burnett, and Barbara Jean. Dottie is survived by her brother, Ray Burnett; her sisters, Christine and Eva; her daughter, Darnece Deason; her daughter, Tracy Williams and wife, Stephanie; her son, Tommy Fisher and wife, Wendy; her son, Darrell Fisher and wife, Nancy; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster. A celebration of Dottie's life will be at 11:00am on Thursday, August 14, 2025 also at Byrum's Chapel. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Lancaster.
