Dorothy D “Dean” Craft, 94, formerly of Millersville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Ozark Manor Residential Care in Fredericktown, Missouri.

One of nine children, Dean was born July 5, 1931 in Millersville, to Samuel D. and Opal A. “Allyne” Wise Jones.

She was a 1948 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. She and Lyman E. Craft were married December 21, 1957. Two children were born to their union Doug Craft and Susan Mudge. They had been married for 36 years when Lyman passed away March 31, 1993.

After High School, Dean worked at Rubbermaid and Superior Electric in Jackson, Missouri.

Dean was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Millersville. For many years, Dean was an avid bowler. In her pastime she frequently enjoyed quilting, sewing and putting together puzzles.

Loving survivors include children, Doug (Donna) Craft of Sedgewickville, Missouri; daughter Susan (Neal) Mudge of Troy, Missouri. Grandchildren Hannah Craft and Heather Bennett of Chattanooga, Tennessee; Macey (Matt) Brooks and their son Mason of Troy, Missouri. Also surviving three brothers, J.W. Jones, Tom Jones of Jackson, and Mike Jones of Kansas City, along with many nieces, nephews and her sister in laws.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lyman Craft; her parents; sisters Helen (Leroy) Haupt, Hazel (Eugene) Seabaugh, Mary “Pete” (Glenn “Spider”) Fronabarger, Betty “Bets” (Melvin) Reihn; and younger brother Ray Jones.

Visitation is from 10am to service time, Monday, February 23, 2026, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The Rev. Jason Grubbs will conduct the funeral service at 12:00 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2026, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
