Mrs. Dorothy Speed Eason

Dorothy Speed Eason, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 9, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter, Amanda Eason of Tallahassee, FL and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aldonia Speed and Osbon Speed; brother, Willie C.Speed. Dorothy was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She retired in 1994 from Florida A&M University after 30 years of service. Dorothy was also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., The Charmettes, Inc, and FAMU National Alumni Association. Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Oakland Cemetery, 838 North Bronough Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303. Viewing will be from 12 (Noon) to 6 P.M. Monday, July 18, 2022 at Strong and Jones Funeral Home, 629 West Brevard St. Tallahassee, Florida 32304.
