Dorothy Grever Obituary

Heaven received its newest Angel when Dorothy Ann (Cotter) Grever finished her journey on August 4, 2023 at home surrounded by her loved ones.Dorothy, 96 of Santa Cruz, California was born January 22, 1927 to John and Sarah Cotter in Appleton, Wisconsin. She attended Holy Cross schools and married the love of her life, Charles Grever on July 19, 1947, and they were married 64 years before his passing in 2011. They had one daughter, Margaret Dalbesio.Dorothy retired from Wm, Wrigley Jr Company in 1989. She enjoyed spending time with family, baking, and watching her great grandchildren play sports. Dorothy was a beautiful, gracious lady full of love and compassion. She will be greatly missed but will live in our hearts forever. She was devoted to her faith and was a parishioner of Holy Cross and Oblates of St. Joseph. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Margaret (Edward) Dalbesio, grandchildren, Sabrina Dalbesio, Jason (Amy) Dalbesio, Sara (Joshua) Auble, great grandchildren, Riley, Reese, Rowan Auble, Jack Holden, and Brooke Bosinger, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Grever, parents John and Sarah Cotter, brothers, John, Clifford, George, Joe Cotter, and sister Mildred Hambey.Dorothy's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the entire team at Hospice of Santa Cruz County. Their support and care helped make it possible for Dorothy to remain at home. A special thank you to her caregiver, Herlinda, who provided comfort, excellent care, and compassion. Visitation and viewing will be held Thursday August 17, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00pm at Pacific Gardens Chapel. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held directly following the visitation. A funeral mass will be held on Friday August 18, 2023 at Oblates of St. Joseph at 1:00pm. A private committal service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.To light a candle and share your condolences, please visit Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel's website.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an organization or charity of your choice.

Aunt dorthy I was so saddened to read that you had past away you are now we with Uncle Charles what a beautiful reunion I have a lot of beautiful memories that I'll hold dear in my heart till we meet again love you
