Dorothy Ann Hansley

Dorothy Ann White Hansley, 75, entered her heavenly home on Sunday October 20, 2024; one week from her birthday. She was born on October 27, 1948 in Onslow County to Owen and Esther Vinson White. She retired from Civil Service at Camp Lejeune where she worked at the Naval Hospital as a payroll clerk. She was a very dedicated member of the Peletier First Missionary Baptist Church. Her church family were very important to her and she loved being in the church choir and helping with the Vacation Bible School. She worked at the voting polls during the elections and was very disappointed that she would miss this year's election. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Bryant Hansley and her brother, Donald White. She is survived by her children, Andrea Sanderson and her husband, Greg; Mary Kirkman and her husband, Mike; all of Hubert; Melinda Fornes of Cove City,her sister, Linda Gurganus of Richlands; and her grandchildren, Justan Bryson and Dylan Sanderson and his wife Payton. A visitation will be held Wednesday Oct. 23rd from 6-8 PM at the Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Noon at the Peletier First Missionary Baptist Church in Peletier with the Rev. Ted Williams, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
