Jeannie Jester, affectionately known by her family and friends as Dottie, Jeannie, Dorothy, Gigi, or Regina, entered into eternal rest on November 4, 2025. She was born on November 26, 1957, in Perry, Georgia, to the late Britt and Barbara Jester and was raised in Warner Robins, Georgia, where her kind and loving spirit touched all who knew her.

Jeannie attended Northside High School, where she was actively involved in DECA and graduated with the Class of 1975. She began her career as a cashier at Grant’s Department Store in the old Houston Mall and later worked as a secretary for a construction company. No matter where she worked, Jeannie was known for her dedication, cheerful demeanor, and the caring heart she brought to everything she did.

A woman of deep faith, Jeannie was a devoted member of North View United Methodist Church, where she participated wholeheartedly in church life and fellowship. She loved her family fiercely—especially her nieces and nephews, who were truly her pride and joy. She treated them as if they were her own children, always showering them with love, encouragement, and her famous cooking.

Jeannie’s kitchen was often filled with warmth and laughter. She loved to cook and was known for bringing delicious dishes to family gatherings, holidays, and church events—or simply to comfort someone in need. She was selfless in every sense, always thinking of others before herself.

Despite facing a long and courageous battle with serious health challenges, Jeannie’s faith and positive spirit never wavered. She met every hardship with grace, strength, and a smile. Her sharp memory amazed everyone—she never forgot a birthday, a phone number, or a loved one’s story. She was the glue that kept her family connected, faithfully checking in with phone calls and sharing words of encouragement.

Jeannie loved UGA football, traveling to the beach or mountains, and always took pride in her appearance—she was a lady through and through, known for her elegant style and poise. She will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, strength, and unwavering faith.

In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by her brother, Janssen Jester.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her siblings, Cynthia Bush (Luther) of Bryon, and Barbara L. Linderman of Warner Robins; nieces and nephews, Nicole Farmer (Darren), Sherlon Weneck (Will), Elijah Weneck, Ezra Weneck, Caleb Farmer, Kyle Farmer (Gracie), Tiffany Phillips (Casey), Kenzie Baker, Emma Baker, Wyatt Baker, Jessi Burdeshaw (Corey), Corbin Burdeshaw, Gavin Burdeshaw, Madison Burdeshaw, Emerlyn Burdeshaw, Josh Linderman, Jenna Hammond (Paul), Nolen Hammond, Lindsey Jones, Jaxson Jones, Will Jester (Ellie), Abney Jester, Rylie Jester, Katie Love (Stephen), Palmer Jester, Janssen Love, and Andrew Baker; and sister-in-law, Wanda Kelly.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating Jeannie’s life will immediately follow in the chapel. Afterward, Jeannie will be laid to rest privately.

For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/@McCulloughFuneralHome via the McCullough Funeral Home’s YouTube page.
