Dorothy M. Keska, Wausau, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Mountain Terrace, Wausau, under the care of Compassus Hospice.
She was born April 5,1926 in Wausau, daughter of the late John and Theresa (Adamski) Blaskowski. Dorothy grew up in Wausau and moved to Chicago at the age of 16, where she worked as a long distance telephone operator for the Illinois Bell Telephone Company for 38 years until her retirement in 1983.
After moving back to the Wausau area, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and later in life she had a heart attack. Dorothy survived both! She loved living downtown, where she enjoyed having coffee every morning with her friends at a local coffee shop and having lunch every day at The Mint Café. Dorothy loved her walks to the Wausau Mall, where she could sit on a bench and people watch. She enjoyed traveling, at times with family going to Rapids City, SD to visit a brother and visiting a sister in Illinois. Las Vegas was another favorite place for her and a friend to visit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include, four siblings, Fritz Blaskowski, Mary Jane Burish, Clarence (Judy) Blaskowski, all of Wausau and Ted (Sue) Blaskowski, Neenah, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Leonard Blaskowski, Raymond Blaskowski, Delores Bzdawka, John Blaskowski, Vernie Porath and Irene Blaskowski.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Resurrection Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Allan Slowiak will preside. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
